Aunt Quel's World

Let's start with the cutest things. So, I have 10 nieces and 4 nephews. I adore each and every one of these kids as if they were my own. Which is fine by me- for now. I will speak of one in particular: My sister's daughter Annalynn. She's the cutest 5 year old you've ever met. From the day she was born I've had an amazing connection to her. Even as a baby, she was alert and had a great sense of humor. She's known how to tease since she could make eye contact. She has this adorable little giggle that just makes you want to hug her! Her latest thing is that she likes to color pictures for me out of her coloring books and then beg her mom to send them to "Aunt Quel in her world!" Since I have moved to Los Angeles, the girls have been amazed with "Aunt Quel's world". What time is it in Aunt Quel's world? "Is it dark right now in Aunt Quel's world?" "When do I get to see Aunt Quel in her world?" I love that because I'm 800 miles from my family I live in my own world! Which is more true than they probably understand!

So, the obsession with Aunt Quel also extends to "uncle Mok" - ( in order to pronounce Mark like the blonde 5-year old, you must say the A like October.) I asked Annalynn once how come she likes Uncle Mark so much when she's only met him a couple of times, her response was priceless - Because he's your Boyfwend! (well duh! What was I thinking! If he's good enough for Aunt Quel, he's good enough to carry the deserving title of Uncle Mok). The last couple of days we've gotten some great colored pages from Annalynn. The envelopes are addressed separately, one for Aunt Quel, the other for Uncle Mark. Its very important to her that we receive and adore these priceless pictures she colors for us. Thus far they are pulled out of the Barbie Princess coloring book.

I do apologize for going on and on like one of "those people." But she's damn cute, and the world needs to know. I have stories that could go on and on, but I'll keep that for later.
