You're Gonna Miss Me -- a MOVIE REVIEW

Every so often I do a movie review. I save these for movies that are really unforgettable and stand out from the rest. I think that this is the second movie review that I've done. Not to say that I do not enjoy more than 2 movies every year - but....

The movie: You're Gonna Miss Me
Genre: Documentary/ Music
Starring: Roger Kynard Erickson (Roky Erickson) as himself.

The basis of this movie is Roky and his band the "13th Floor Elevators" coined the term "psychedelic rock" in the 1960s. Roky struggled with drug abuse and schizophrenia and spent time in the State Hospital after pleading insanity on Marijuana charges.

I enjoyed every aspect of this movie. I thought the lyrics to Roky's songs were amazing and inspiring. I thought Roky's life story was well...I'm not going to talk more about the basic idea of the movie, because I think that you should just go to Hollywood Video, or your Netflix account and order it up! HURRY! What are you waiting for?????

You'll see what I'm talking about... Heart this movie! Heart Roky!
