Green is the New Black
So if you haven't already heard the whole world is going green! You should probably get on board with us or get left behind in a cloud of global warming hot steam that will singe your skin and give you a deformation of some sort!!!
I need a new car BAD. I say so so bad, actually. Every time I get into my mid-sized, American-made, gas gulping (not guzzle, just a gulp) car I feel bad that I am contributing to the heat that I cannot stand. I need to get out!!!!!! There are other reasons pending that I choose not to discuss that I cannot just go out and get a new car. However, this does give me time to look for something that will work for my budget and the environment. I love the idea of having a cute, enviro-friendly car!
Here are some of my top choices:
http://www.myersmotors.com/ Myers makes the NMG cars (No More Gas) that are so adorable! they are simple, small (only 1 person) commuter cars that go a decent amount of miles on one charge. So Cute!
http://www.smartusa.com/ I got to test drive one of these "ForTwo" cars. It was fun to drive, I felt safe and secure.. all the things you would need in a car. I love that the panels can be popped in and out. Also, if you buy them from Europe you can get a diesel engine, which can be converted to a "bio-diesel" and it can run on veggie oil. What a fab thing huh?
http://www.lovecraftbiofuels.com/ I am always looking to find a great Diesel engine car that I could possibly convert. I think this is also a great way to go.
http://www.teslamotors.com/ If I had a little more money I would probably consider one of these. (or if someone out there is reading this and wants me to have one? I agree, I want me to have one too! Please buy this for me and I can give you my forwarding address!) These are great cars.. sports cars. They are built in the same factory as Lotus cars. Woohoo!
Then, of course you have the hybrids: Toyota Prius, Lexus, etc.
Something to think about! I am so into being green!
