Yes, there was an earthquake yesterday! I was at work, which is on the sixth floor of a seventeen floor building in Westwood. Lucky for me the building is newer and sits on rollers.
It felt like being out to sea...swaying back and forth.
This is the second earthquake that I have felt since moving to LA nearly 5 years ago. This most recent earthquake was much closer to me, so I did feel it much more. Quel NO LIKEEE! (in case you were asking yourself if I enjoyed it!)
I am very grateful that everyone I know and their loved ones were unharmed; just a little shaken up is all. I will tell you, I was slightly concerned about Tsunami aftershocks as I was driving along Pacific Coast Highway 1 last night on our way to Malibu. I think that is normal while driving next to the vast ocean only hours after an earthquake. Knock on wood, so far so good!
Thanx to everyone who called, emailed and sent texts. M and I are just fine, just a little shaken up.

Glad to hear you are ok. I was thinking about you when this hit.
I have lots of good memories about Quel after all I birthed her. My most favorite is when she was very young, before school days. She loved to go to ZCMI's bakery and get cookies with sprinkles on. They were always super special, and I think they still are-anything with sprinkles.
Love you MOM!!
