Checking on One's Self

November is the month that sneaks up on me. Once Halloween is over and its November I always think, "gosh! Where did the year go?" Since I make my "New Year's" resolutions on my birthday each year in December I find myself reflecting early to make sure I have kept up on the things I said I would do this year. My score? Mmmm probably a B-; there are a few things that have fallen off of the scope. I'll continue to work on myself I have about 6 weeks until my birthday.

Other things to look forward to this month:
Saving Turkeys, Thanksgiving, oh ya and did I mention that tomorrow is voting day? In case you've been under a rock for the last 2 years.

My plans for Thanksgiving keep going back and forth. There are so many uncertainties right now that make it impossible for me to plan too far into the future. However, I will be saving a turkey or 2 from slaughter this year. My recent post about the Farm Sanctuary has got me very excited when I learned that one can donate money and it goes to rescuing a turkey from slaughter! (History shows that the original Thanksgiving didn't include turkey anyway.) In the mean time I do know that wherever I spend Thanksgiving I will not be eating turkey. Run for your lives little turkeys! Run for your lives!
