The cookbook that I refer to below is Betty Crocker's Cooky Book. It has been published a few different times. The copy that I have is probably from the 50s or 60s.

These are amazing Wind N' Go flashlights. My parents gave them to family for Christmas gifts a few years ago. I keep one in my car and a couple in my home. I had to use them recently because of a power outage and I cannot tell you how nice it was to turn on the flashlight and have it ready to go. There was no fumbling through a drawer to find batteries that worked. So easy, so inexpensive. Why not be prepared?

Is there a possibility that I tried these cookies sometime ago at your house? The reason I ask is they seem very familiar. And now that I look at them again, it seems like you guys frequently had good homebaked cookies and treats that were very hard for a pudgy girl like me to resist!
