This was the horoscope I was greeted with on My Yahoo page this morning: Friends treasure you, family loves you, and you feel totally tapped into it all. Life's a gift, and you're gleefully tearing off the paper and tying the ribbon around the top of your head (yes, you're a gift, too!). Some deeper moments during the day will especially please you -- talking about what it all means, maybe even being asked for advice by someone you really respect." And I immediately had to laugh about the "family loves you" part. I may be a Sagittarius, but this doesn't exactly describe my feelings or my day.
I realize I am"airing my dirty laundry" even though I'm not that worried about it because the Subjects I will mention probably don't read my blog anyway. I've been feeling slightly jaded towards my family lately (not the Parental Units, they are lovely as ever). I have one that has been estranged for several years, one that is just plain avoiding or ignoring me, and one that I just don't understand AT ALL despite my efforts to keep communication open. If you know my family and are doing the math, there is a 4th sibling that I tend to always be ok with even if we go a few weeks with out talking, we can always just pick up where we left off. My high maintenance relationships with my siblings have gotten more difficult since I've gotten older, and not easier as one would think it should be. The only conclusion is they are into game playing and I'm more of a simple person. The world has enough games. This is how I feel - take it or leave it!
Thank heaven for my friends... whom I consider to be my other family. I had a great weekend in Utah and it was lovely seeing you all.

P.S. I'm not writing this to start fights, its MY Manifesto and I'll write my feelings as I deem worthy. Plus that Horoscope caught me at a weak moment.
