Fireworks of All Kinds
I was recently accused of "turning liberal". I had to laugh at this accusation. To turn from one belief system to another is perfectly ok. However, I never was the opposite of liberal in order to turn from that to the other. I don't label my political affiliations or my beliefs to be Liberal, Conservative or anything else. The reason being is that I do not agree that any 1 way is always 100% correct and above the rest. We don't have everything figured out and I feel its a waste of time going around slapping labels on everything when there are real issues out there to work on that could help EVERYONE, not just people from one school of thought.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am not perfect, nor to I profess to be even close to that. I actually forgot my bag the other day when going to the grocery store, and as luck would have it, they were out of paper, I had to use a plastic bag. What is a girl to do? Well, I'll just make sure it gets to the proper recycling location. My point is, I have done my research and I do know what I'm talking about. This stuff works for me. If I can do one or two things to give a thumbs up to the environment - Yay! Mission accomplished. If I take two steps forward and 5 steps back, oh well, I am not perfect and I'll try harder tomorrow.
I sure hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July Weekend. It was beautiful weather in Los Angeles and we had a really lovely time.

I have enjoyed reading about all your thoughts. Keep it up! I am not as hard core on the diet but I have almost completely eliminated red meat, but still eat lean turkey and chicken and I have really increased the amount of veggies I eat. I also love my cloth grocery bags and use them for all kinds of things. And also, Brandon and I recycle all the plastic we use; it's really easy for us because we live in the NW and the garbage man also collects the recyling. So you've made a difference for the positive for me!
