Autumn in the Air

One would logically reason that if one had a lot of time on their hands small projects such as writing in a blog, reading books and catching up with old friends would take place. However, this is not always the case. I did get things done such as finally getting my oil changed! It has only been...um...way way too long! I like to think my car is running smoothly for now as a "thank you for giving me clean oil!" So we'll see how it goes. I don't talk ill of my car while I am in it or around it because I have a strong belief that its performance is based on its healthy concept of self. (Like a person, or a fragile child!) So, I don't mention while in car's presence that I am steadily searching new cars and saving money for a down payment for a new one. Focus and I have been good friends for much longer than I had hoped! We've had a good run and now it is nearing time to say goodbye.

I am loving this Autumn air. It does help me miss Utah with the beautiful autumn leaves and chilly weather there. LA just doesn't change color that much! Go figure. But the air is crisp and a season change is upon us. I love sweaters and new coats and all of that. Right now is deer hunting season for the outdoors- ie type men -- and hunting season for me has just kicked off also. I have so much to do to "prepare" for winter! I need to stock up! I want to congratulate my nephew, Kody, 14, who recently shot his first deer. It was a 2 Point. Please don't be surprised that I know what that means!

Bringing up Quel's hunting season brings me to an important point. I have a tiny pet peeve that I would like to get out right now. I have close friends. They know where I shop and where I like to spend money. I have close friends with whom I don't mind if they ask me any question -- personal or otherwise. But - Some women out there don't realize the lines they are crossing when they get too personal and ask, "where did you buy that?" That is VERY personal. Ladies, if we've never shared a meal together-- U have no right to know where I shop! That is just the way it is. It takes me back to a bad experience where I was a young girl and was very proud of my great fashion sense. Some evil girl took advantage -- she copied my outfits on several occasions, to the point where it was obvious! She ended up looking dumb, but from that time on I swore that my shopping locations were privileged info. Gotta be on the inside!
