What did we do before email?

I try not to forward those emails that say, "send this to 10 people in 10 minutes or you'll have 10 years bad luck!" Or Threatening emails such as, "if I don't get this back, FRIEND, I'll get the picture." My first thought is O My Hell!

What did we do before email? We must not have had good luck because we were unable to forward that message to 50 people before the good luck fairy got pissed and us and took off! My favorite is, "forward this to 600 people and you'll get a phone call from someone special tonight!" Um...Generally, as long as you aren't a hated recluse, people get phone calls from "special someone's" at night! I hate to be the one to tell you this but, they aren't calling you because you passed along an email! Someone special is calling you because you are an intelligent and caring human being w/ whom they have some interest. Every so often you'll catch me forwarding such emails, but I do it because the content of the email is cute, sweet, or funny. I could go on about how obnoxious these emails are, but I won't. I think you get the idea. I love you, friends and family, but your scary email threats don't frighten me!
