Q&M Paris Trip 2009 (Part IV)
The beautiful Louvre Museum, this is the front where the entrance is.
This is a view of Napoleon III's apartment inside of the Louvre. This is the Grand Salon. The whole apartment is so pretty yet almost ostentatious. There are more pictures of it on the Louvre website if you want to see more.
Where the road meets the Musee Du Louvre. The road goes through on 2 sides of the Louvre and through a courtyard that separates the building and the park in the front that leads to the Place de la Concorde.
One side of the Louvre at the corner. The building was very ornate with different statues and other things carved into the facade of the building.
This is also the corner of the museum, but springtime had already gotten to this tree.
Inside of of the many beautiful hallways of the Louvre.
Outside in the front courtyard. I LOVED the Louvre. We went there a few times and walked the grounds and park, we also went inside more than once. I could've spent more time there if time allowed. The building itself has quite a history that added to the character of it and how it appeared - it is so massive and strong looking, still.
You might recognize Notre Dame Cathedral.
The beautiful Notre Dame from the side by the river. The front and every single inch of this beautiful cathedral is something interesting to look at. It really captivated us both. We stayed and photographed just the outside for a really long time. Every time I thought I had enough photos and all the interesting angles, I would see something else I hadn't before.
Ah! The public toilets that were accessible if one needed. I never needed to :) They are curious nonetheless. Supposedly they clean themselves after the door closes, and then the next user puts in their few cents...and so on.
