Q&M Paris Trip 2009 (Part V)
This was my first sighting of the Eiffel Tower... it was late in the afternoon on Easter Sunday just as we entered the Place de le Concorde... through the clouds as the sun was starting to set I could see the top of the tower. It was a moment to remember as everything about that moment seemed to take my breath away. I know I've seen the tower in pictures, but it isn't the same.
I tried to capture it whenever possible throughout the trip.
The river from a bridge near Notre Dame, in the back ground you can see the Eiffel Tower. I like the view of the city at a really pleasant time of day just before the sun was down.
I tried several times to get a picture of the tower at night that included the blinking lights w/o too much blur. This one shows it pretty well I think. At night it was like a beacon always reminding us where we were in the city to the tower's proximity. Its beautiful at night all lit up.
Another view of the Eiffel Tower
Part of the very large and very lovely Jardin du Luxembourg. The park itself went on forever, I am sure we only saw a small portion of it. We sat in these comfortable chairs for a moment to rest our aching feet. It was very clean and had sections of grass and more walkways, statues and art to look at all throughout.
Louis Vuitton on The Avenue des Champs-Élysées
Chanel, si francais!
J'adore Dior!!!!
A blue door that I thought was worth remembering.
A very pretty door.
Just a street somewhere in Paris. It looked similar to most of the non-main streets. Small and quaint with ornate buildings that have businesses on the ground level and offices or apartments above.
