Candy Land On Lombard Street

Every one's favorite childhood board game meets the ever famous street of switchbacks, Lombard St. in San Francisco, for Candy Land's 60th Birthday!

Candy Land was designed in the 1940s by Eleanor Abbott of San Diego, California, while she was recovering from Polio. The game was later sold to Milton Bradley Company and produced in 1949 as the game we all know and love. I should have included this in the list of things that happened the year my dad was born.

For the 60th Birthday celebration of Candy Land, they made Lombard Street look like the life size replica of the game! This looks so fun!

I got the pictures for this post from this website.
